Good post.

I don't work in film or entertainment now, but did back in the 80s and early 90s (no you've never heard of me).

At least back then the majority of movies that were filmed were never released, and even the of ones that were released (went all the way through post prod to a final product) didn't get distribution. I think it was something like 1 in 10 movies that finished their shot lists actually got edited into something to be shown, then a similar percentage for finished movies that got distribution. Take it even a step further and it was a staggering low percentage of purchased scripts that ever even got to having anything at all done with them.

I'm sure those numbers have changed some with the times because of the internet and self publishing, but owning the rights to make strangeland 2, is a far site from actual production of the movie. In fact I doubt a script even exists, it's just a cult brand that BRSE owns the rights to. I'm not sure how long, they really rent the rights usually. That's why they gave up the howling rights. Didn't want to renew the lease when they didn't have backing to actually make a movie.

Also you are right about Doolittle, and I'm sure smilin knows it. He just likes to take digs at Christopher on this forum, although I doubt they hit because I don't think he reads here anymore.

I think that was the number 1 reason for the RS. to not have to deal with the crap that comes with being a trip stock on the OTC and dealing with the IHub crowd that flocks to those stocks.
