Prisoner transport for medical appointments is expensive. In most cases it requires the time of two guards and they use of one of the prison vehicles. A lot of wasted labor time to take somebody to an appointment that can be done over video.

Mostly applies to county jails. Not sure if its handled the same with state/federal prisons.

Huber clients use NEMT transport if on Medicaid or Medicare so no guards needed.
