At this point I don’t know what “normal” is anymore.

Somehow here- we have to sort out what is unacceptable. The biggest problem is- the definition's not the same for any two women or men.

Let's use me for an example. As the board knows, I was pretty badly injured some weeks back. I am on a MLOA from work. I stopped in to visit the other day and the assistant store manager came and gave me a big hug and told me how glad he was to see me and that he hoped he'd be seeing me a lot more soon. He did this in front of customers and employees. I was also hugged by several women and another guy.

Did I find any of this 'inappropriate'? No. If it had happened in his office with no one else around- maybe. But I know the man. His motive was simply that he was glad to see me and showed it.

Now- lets go back to when Biden was making these women uncomfortable. Was his behavior 'normal'? Possibly. It was how he was- a touchy-feely guy. Had any women told him THEN that he was doing something inappropriate I'm positive he would have stopped it immediately. That he's a decent man, no one seems to disagree with.

There's an entire universe of difference between how Biden responds to women and how Trumpty does. If you are advocating that no man ever touch any woman outside of his wife in the privacy of his home, a la Pence- then the world becomes a less open and friendly place. I think everyone- men and women need to use some common sense here. Most men do know what's appropriate and what's not. Most women know whether the intent was appropriate or not. If they feel it's not- something should be said right then and there- not 2 or 5 or 10 years down the road.

Ok- off the soapbox now but anyone feel free to agree or disagree.

When was this behavior normal?

C'mon. Joe is a touchy-feely guy. Always has been, but not in a sexual way. None of the women in question accused him of sexual assault. We've all known guys like Joe.

We've all also known guys who were way more annoying.
