Today when I was making an appointment with my Doctors Office, I was prompted to try a video visit with one of their Doctors using a smart phone. Telemedicine is going mainstream fast!

This was the first time I have ever heard them advertising this? I immediately started to smile as I see where telemedicine is headed! :))

The government should take notice sooner or later. Hope we have some good lobbyists. :)

Beginning January 1, 2019 Medicare will be accepting certain medical services that fall under the classification of asynchronous telemedicine.

IMO they should distinguish between 2 types of asynchronous. One that is like an online doctors visit and one that is an online doctors visit along with monitoring if vitals, 24/7 if needed.

CareClix does the latter supporting 200+ devices. They have a cart that you can 'build' online and add all the gadgets you want.

I haven't been able to find that TDOC supports any gadgets. IMO this is a big deal.
