I've read your posts and I don't believe your examples are germane in this situation..

Furosemide (a diuretic) has been around for decades...and everyone understands the idea of lowering blood volume is beneficial in CHF..So was blood letting (phlebotomy) which was never approved by the FDA...Furosemide also never passed a CVOT...because the idea was understood..

What is the SOC in cancer treatment? Cancer is many many different clinical situations...T2DM is a fairly well defined disease...and adding a new therapeutic agent which is a novel way to approach a well understood disease is different than adding a new diuretic to treat a disease where everyone understands diuretics are beneficial..
