When a "due date" lands on a weekend, the due date is extended to the next business day, which is Monday April 1, 2019.

Look at the third section that says "Non-Accelerated Filers:"

And yes, one or two days do matter. If it's one day late, it's late which would make what you said true. If they file tomorrow, they are not late in any way shape or form which makes everything you said completely incorrect.

Simple stuff. If you don't agree, try filing your taxes on April 16 if you owe money. Let me know how that works out for you.
