Think about how calm, meticulous and focused you have to be to manage the optimization of 3 disparate companies, while simultaneously building a way to “vertically integrate them without vertically integrating” while simultaneously building products like Spectrum, and doing it with minimal resources, all while the market is giving you no support and every time you come out with good news, a bunch of idiots dump their shares for a loss.
He’s got the patience of a monk combined with the persistence Tyson. And he’s only in his 40s, which opens the opportunity for massive growth for decades to come.
I predict there will be a new book out in 5 years - mandatory reading in all top business schools. It will be called “DSF” or possibly “The Wilson Way”
They are going to be profitable. Just on brick and mortar. Anyone willing to learn the story and take a reasonable position (which at today’s price wouldn’t be too hard) can retire off of this one.
