do you have a cash account or a margin account ? from what I understand they cant loan your shares out on a cash account except for the first few days after you buy them until they clear into your account, and if you have a margin account you have to lock them up by placing a G T C sell order on them so they cant loan them to short . so if you have a cash account and they are asking your permission that sounds like great news for the future of this company.
