Your post may be true for recreational dry MJ but the price model is significantly different for the pharma side of business.

The legal Cannabis Industry is a baby. As such, there is no doubt that Price Equilibrium will take time.

However, with the Capacity that is being produced by the major Canadian Grow Houses and the fact that Cannabis only takes 3 months to bring to market - the Price Equilibium will happen sooner than most people think.

Just look at the Colorado Cannabis Market as an example.

Personally, in Colorado, I used to pay a premium for Cannabis when it was illegal and when it first became legal.

However, retail prices have dropped in the past 1-2 years because of legalization and the supply has caught-up with the demand. The "Tourist Dispensaries" at the Ski Resorts and by Coors Field still charge premium prices, but you can get really good deals at the "local" dispensaries.
