justnormal.....thanks for the reply to my post.....yes, MM are allowed to short and naked short to keep a smooth market when the demand and selling get out of balance,,,this practice really got started big time in the late 1960's when stocks were put in "street name"at the brokerage houses... buying and selling stock in huge volumes was cumbersome, because, in those days, we were given gilt edge certificates with registered numbers on them... when you sold them, you had to sign the back side, and deliver them to the brokerage with registered mail....it is much easier to trade now with your stock in street name, but also opened the door to these thieves to naked short, since these shares carry no cusips numbers...anyway, Germany is a great country, great products, and industrious people....I like my 1979 VW van with the porsche engine... people ask me all the time if it is for sale.. of course it isn't....Lodas
