I’m not sure why she left... she was put on the board the same time as Cofer. But I don’t think it was because she was sick at the time. I don’t think there was any bad blood, though. I think she served for a couple of years and she may have been there to help facilitate with the investigation.
Her husband Evan ran for senate seat from Indiana in 2016 and lost. I suspect husband not getting the six year gig in D.C. not to mention direct connection to a senator and clout the seat wields came into play in her decision. Albeit (speculation) the decision may have been mutual between Mrs Bayh and NWBO.
Note: As Ex has pointed out the Bayh's are health care connected as well as politically (Indiana) connected.
