Hi CogDiss... you know Susan Bayh was on the NWBO board, correct? She had also previously served on Dendreon's board. So I think we can agree she likely would have wanted to have received DCVax if she could have.
Anyhow, I believe that Mrs. Bayh was taken to Georgetown University for emergency surgery - the surgery was not planned as she'd been planning on traveling to her twin sons' graduation from Harvard the weekend this all happened. I'm guessing that Georgetown subsequently did not save the tumor. If it was an emergency, it could be that she was somewhat incapacitated and thus not able to communicate the necessity of saving it.
That's what I think happened based on the available information out there.
