I agree with everything except I believe the principal has plenty of money. But it's locked and hidden overseas.
There were a few entries about off shore accounts with the brother and the principal as owners in some court documents around 2014 or 2015, so it's entirely possible millions are in a swiss or Cayman island account.

Not even sure the principal is still in the US. Has to be a flight risk by now.

The longside case has no new filings since 4-2018 which corresponds with the BK's and foreclosure delays going on for a year now.

About the BK's

Can dismissal mean the bk was settled with payments made and such?

filed nov 14th 2018, Can't do chapter 13.Hearing on 25 Jan 19' final dismissal entered 29 jan 19'.
There's even an audio file of the 25th hearing.

The principal did indeed file a knowingly frivolous BK called a skeletal to again delay the foreclosure. The same was done by the wife. The lawyer who took the BK case for the principal also tried to get her fees added to the BK, but the trustee threw her out too.
