While I agree with most of what you said; yourself and others here have mentioned NS getting $15+ a pound from retailers. No retailer is going to pay retail prices from a wholesaler. Figure 50% of retail price is what NS will get per pound.
May still be weak for some days, but by the end of this week, or next week, people talking to management say that the shrimp will probably have reached jumbo size and be ready to sell. Management says they expect to receive between $12-$15 per pound of shrimp. Costs $5 to grow them: cost of feed, personnel salaries, etc. Once they are sold, we will see how much they received for them. There is a possibility they may receive up to $18 from some of the buyers. The prices they recieve will give an idea of how profitable the company will be.
