matt- I totally agree.

But I didn't want to call him out on it by calling in. It's a shame to have to sit here when he says "thousands of seats" and say to yourself, 'ok, he means 1500'. Even though I'm as confident as ever in the final outcome, the overpromising has always stuck in my craw.

re: It's disappointing and hurts SKS's credibility to now say that Q2 breakeven requires $2 to 2.5 million in upgrade revenue, when for months before the Q2 breakeven was specifically premised on nothing but chip license revenue projections "in hand today."

Agree wholeheartedly. Now, the BE bar is dependent upon a significant number of seat upgrades.

With regards to the consumer, SKS stated that space won't engage until 2008, so that speculation can rightly stop.

Matt;

Just returned on line. SKS did in fact say he had enough in hand right now to take him to b/e by Q2. Is he now saying that this is only predicated on him drumming up 2-2.5mm in upgrade sales? If so, this is a contradiction. Just tried to access the CC on Wave's website but it still it being "prepared" it seems.

On another note, if there is in fact 557K deferred revs on the books, this places us at ~1.4mm vs. slightly over 1mm Q2, no??? that would be a significant positive sign.

Matt, could it be possible that those chip license revenue projections for BE were based on expectations for closing HP and others, and that those deals will be in a better position to be consummated once revenue sharing details have been completed on the trusted hard drive product lines?

Matt be aware that as a company expands, the breakeven point gets higher and higher. That is a good thing. So maybe 6 million in sales are needed. Don't forget they are hiring.
