Unfortunately that's probably not true.

MDI* filed fake documents to get the DTC chill removed from their stock so more people could buy their fake shares.

And more people did.

And two years later they were charged with fraud. :-)

It's just as easy to post fake docs as it is to release fake PR's.

Someone proved that recently by posting a fake 10-K (allegedly).
