I agree, this is the more likely scenario. Hell, why would Linda sell at her cost and below market value? I don't think she needs the money that badly. I don't think the planned sales scenario is valid either. Why would she be selling stock on a planned basis at this juncture? The transfer of stock to a trust, family member, etc. is the only thing that makes sense.
