Thanks for the link even though I find it somewhat disturbing. For the past several months I have been waking around 3 A.M. regardless of the time I go to bed unable to go back to sleep for hours. The link indicates drugs prescribed for sleep do not provide quality sleep. I had a major TBI and several subsequent concussions in my youth. The link indicates lack of sleep causes increased tau protein and amyloid. Seems I could be priming for Alzheimer's but an MRI is not in the cards for me because of stainless steel wires used to fuse my skull after craniotomy. Maybe a blood test is available to see if any biomarkers indicate early alz. that could qualify me for the trial. Just trying to stay ahead of the curve.
