The restaurant appearance is more appealing than Chipotle or Qdoba which are bland and cold.

The food quality and presentation has an advantage over competition as well.

Of course all of these things are based on past restaurant locations as no locations are currently operating. The concept has been proven to attract customers. The corporate financial structure and shady executives teams were the cause of the failure and not the operations of the restaurants.

Another run at operating Grill-it restaurants would be a great second chance. I think they would be successful if the geographic region of locations are condensed so advertising can be done more often in a smaller area. Trying to run a multi-state advertising campaign was one of the past failures. Running advertisements for a single Texas location doesn’t make sense from a corporate level and would be too costly for the franchisee for a single location.

Teaming with a couple influencers and a savvy millennial-run advertising company would help generate foot traffic. Once people visit once they will keep coming back.

I would be interested in GRLT reviewing the business model of Freebirds World Burrito. They operate the number of locations I think is ideal to get to a positive cash flow model, have a condensed footprint of locations and can’t even be compared to Chipotle or Qdoba on food quality. My ultimate dream would be for Greg to team up with a hedge fund structure a reverse merger between Freebirds and GRLT. I am not starting rumors or saying this would EVER happen. It’s just something I would absolutely love to see. Greg’s leadership, GRLTs ticker symbol and Freebirds successful operations. Could integrate some of the fresh ideas from Grillit into Freebird locations.
