I was thinking he meant those who were psPD due to chem/rad who then also turned out to be lucky enough live significantly longer. Not all psPD live past 30 to 36 months. In fact, in the Brandes trial, out of 32 psPD patients, 34% (11 out of 32) were unmethylated, and we know they don't do particularly well with chem/rad. But it's thought that it's usually a psPD patient that has a chance to survive longer. And it's possible that with DCVax-L, they may actually beat the GBM.
I also wanted to point out Stupps' comment, though reluctant (unbelievable, you'd think he'd be pleased) that "maybe tumors react differently to immunotherapy." lol.
