You may be reading too much into this. The difference between raising $115M at $18.50 (6.2M shares) and raising $115M at, say, $26.50 (4.3M shares) is 1.9M shares, which isn’t such a big disparity for a stock with ~41M fully-diluted shares, pre-offering (#msg-144654911). As noted in #msg-146126270, I think the deal timing was motivated in part by the recent volatility in the biotech sector and the stock market generally.
