That's hilarious! And in a way, sad, as you say. But I can also see how that kind of thing could also be a problem, especially in a large firm. There's just about always somebody who's over-sensitive, has no sense of humor, or, worst case, has been bullied in the past. So probably it makes sense for HR to establish rules. And after all it IS a law firm where everyone knows how tiresome lawsuits are.
