Interesting. Thank you.

Prior to smart phones, when music and all was not on my phone, I had a really good headset I used to buy, with a hollow tube, from the phone to the ear, to avoid the transmission of the radiation to the head... also, you effectively become one big antennae for your phone with regular headphones, they said...

I don’t know if they were failsafe, since I still had the phone on my belt... or on my body most of the time, which is still unhealthy, probably. But I liked those headphones... they worked really well. No noise cancellation though...

You're right.

For many years, the associations between smoking, exposure to coal dust (miners), exposure to asbestos dust, and other now recognised carcinogens, were all downplayed in terms of their causative effect on the development of various cancers.

And yes, regarding cellphone usage, association is not the same as causation.
But association is pretty damn close to correlation. And correlation is only one step away from causation.
And if the historical pattern repeats itself, you would expect the cellphone industry to produce research denying a link between usage and CNS cancers. But would you be taken in by it?
Not if it is industry-funded research, I wouldn't...

I would like to see independent research into call centre staff who wear a headset for a third of their lives...

Interesting information... while it's not an established fact that cell phone usage could correlate with causing brain cancer, I always use a headset with my phone. :)
