That is a great read, thanks for posting that. And if you look at the last article posted by ZJMY on wechat, you can see Han standing right in front of a backdrop that has NIO plastered all over it. NIO is aware of ZJMY if it wasnt already. $JBZY

Great read. It’s clear why Han’s primary focus is on the battery replacement station as of late.

“There’s a lot to like about battery swapping. For one, it reverses the standard time tradeoff between EVs and gasoline-powered vehicles. Many EV owners plug-in overnight and charge for hours. In general, fast chargers are now able to charge a battery to 80 percent in a little under half an hour. But in that time, some battery swap stations could charge dozens of cars to 100 percent.”

Impact of ZJMY EV fleet swapping program:

https://www.smartcitiesdive.com/news/electric-taxi-fleet-shenzhen-china/545347/

95%, or 21K, of Shenzhen taxis are currently EVs and BYD is the primary make for these units. Now consider what Han Zhiming had to say regarding the viability of competitors in the charging station arena-

"Q: Do you have any competition in China, with same or similar concept?"

"A: Right now in China, Swapping station with our level there is none, zero. Earlier BAIC, including BYD, built some stations in Shenzheng, they are closed, because they used Israeli model, could not be commercialized. We break away from their model, make operator profitable. "

I have to believe BYD representatives were extremely interested in what Han had to say about the ZJMY charging station in Beijing this week!

ZJMY auto swap station vs. Nio

The only other player in the EV battery swap station market right now is Tencent backed Nio, and here is a report of their current manned swap station operation...

https://www.sae.org/news/2019/01/nio-ev-battery-swapping

The ZJMY swap station is already automatic- Nio is not expecting to have an automatic model for two more years! And get a load of the subscription fee Nio owners are currently paying-- $142/mo... for an un-manned swap station that offers no valued-added services.

$JBZY$/ZJMY is a sleeping giant in the EV industry!
