1) I am from Europe, not from the US
2) I have a job
3) The rest of my time I have a family, and read/write on the Mr. Cooper Group (COOP) board (formerly WMIH/WMI/Washington Mutual Inc.) and manage my investment in COOP and other stocks. In FNMA I am holding only a small position at the moment
4) If you believe it or not, I actually read these "news", but thought this could not be everything causing this rise. (That's why I asked for a brief update what has changed). Hope for ending the NWS/Conservatorship was always the reason for every rise in PPS here. So it seems to be only another pump&dump. Don't get me wrong, I made a nice profit when FNMA ran from sub $2 to $5 and also a smaller profit the years before, but I don't believe that now the NWS and conservatorship REALLY will end just because the media are picking up speed again

Let's be honest. Nothing happened on or after 1/2/2019 that is news.

Watt ending his term isn't news.

Otting taking the office that he was announced to take weeks ago isn't news.

Milken Institute publishing a new paper isn't news.

Tim Rood recommending a buy on GSEs at 5:45 AM EST (2:45 AM PST for those who set their alarm early on the West Coast) isn't news.

Haven’t really ever seen this covered in the news. This whole debacle gets about 5 minutes of airtime a year. You can seek info on this board (while having to put up with petty child like arguments that go on on a daily basis) and on twitter...but you have to find it. This topic is rarely covered on mainstream news or mainstream print. People are still quoting articles from 4-6 years ago and showing videos from 2-4 years ago for the most part. There is no “news”
