They probably are quite safe and I hope you are correct with your penultimate paragraph. However shareholders get very little opportunity to actually influence Mgt thinking, which in turn shapes the strategy and direction of our company. The ASM (AGM in the U.K.) is a once a year opportunity to provide a very clear message of confidence in mgt. Its not a question of showing one’s loyalty to Mgt but a question of shareholder power and when it’s appropriate to use it.
Rewards given to Mgt should not be self approved but rather via a directive/motion put before shareholders at the ASM. I’m not in possession of the full terms of Mgt incentive plans (options etc) so I apologise if I’m wrong about this but I would want to see them aligned with the share price as opposed to self appointed milestones like publishing a journal article. Mgt need to earn the confidence of shareholders and not the other way round. It’s time we got answers to several outstanding questions raised by very many genuine long term shareholders. At 20 cents its priced to fail.
Most accept the science is looking very promising and so I find it extraordinary that we are not seeing institutional investors taking positions. It could be BP or Hedgies but there is no real upward pressure on the SP.
So it’s either a scam (which I don’t believe) or Mgt have failed to correctly provide resource, skills and focus in addressing the manipulation and have completely failed at persuading the market of the potential upside of DCVax compared to everything else available....and how should they do this? Most successful companies with important confidential commercial information use NDA’s and set off on a beauty parade pitching to big institutional investors with a seasoned professional that is both well liked and trusted on Wall Street.
