You are right. The top ipo’s can be a billion dollars- based on 4-7% of gross proceeds, plus an additional $4.2 million of offering costs directly attributable to the IPO. That surprised me. For sure The Woodbrookgroup ceo made a smart decision to merge into $NHPI - probably saving more than $5m $$$ $WDBG $$$
That is a rationalization and putting words in the CEO's mouth. He's never said "I made a mistake when I spoke of NASDAQ, I meant X." And, no, it doesn't "cost some companies billions of dollars to IPO," that's grossly incorrect.
Legit companies do IPO's to sell equity and raise capital. OTC buzzwords are just that.
