Greater oversight by the SEC is needed to preserve economic autonomy in this country.

The SEC is impotent, going as far back as I can remember. It is a captured entity by the special interests in Wall Street. The revolving door is no secret. No hope for change in the foreseeable future.

I agree with you in shorting, and I think much of it originates overseas, though the people pulling the strings distantly are probably here or very familiar with the US.

I have reason to believe there have been some antagonistic short funds targeting companies like this from Asia, on a regular basis...
