There is much to admire about their society, and much to fear, if you are used to freedom.

Their control is only going to get more strict. Witness the use of social scoring. Get a low score, and you may find it hard to survive at all. But hey, low crime rates! Once the system is fully in place, maybe eventually they'll consider wasting your time as a negative tick on your score. Doing things like watching TV, or going to sporting events, or church.
