I like your speculation. Linda gets leverage over a deep state FDA beholden to BP.

Hu Umibe - Huawei China Market rights to DCVAX L is most likely. I doubt the US Government would allow a buyout. But maybe Huawei's involvement with NWBO can trigger interest from other Big Pharma's who could get into a bidding war. After all we have been through, let's hope for a most happy ending!!

Not sure about all the rest, but the key point is that Huewei has the wherewithal to commercialize quickly in China. That alone makes NWBO a more valuable investment to Huewei than perhaps others potential buyers. Also, the proximity to AZN at Sawston could have evolved into a partnership between AZN and Huewei, which gives Huewei a strategic BP with expertise and access to global markets.

And....most importantly, Huawei would use the chinese brain cancer market as its launching pad. It really does not need to depend upon world markets. It could easily obtain chinese regulatory approvals and rapidly penetrate the market which is perhaps larger than all other world markets combined. It could also obtain reg approvals for other solid tumour indications.

Great post Umibe and great insight as to the possibilities for a great Huawei-NWBO symbiotic relationship.

Agree 100%, I think this is a master play by LP and any BP/BP's hanging back will need to weigh the odds of such a scenario. Interesting times indeed.

Umibe5690,

You have nailed how the Chinese have strategically planned their global technology investments and there is no doubt they want a leading position in life sciences minimally for their own national defense. There has been times when outside companies have attempted to enter the U.S. pharma industry like when GE purchased Sterling Pharmaceuticals, which did not work out well and had to divest after a short period. The Chinese pharma industry has been evolving slowly, so, it would not be surprising to utilize or entice a successful company from another industry to engage, or, maybe Huawei is acting independently after seeing a top to their success in telecom in the next decade. Huawei would have to partner or purchase a Chinese pharma company in order to take Dcvax to China, but, this could be a tremendous opportunity to do so. I think they would be looking to the Chinese market and not the U.S. market in any way, my opinion, other than becoming a partner with NWBO in order to succeed in the US and the EU in order to enable the Chinese market. This is another interesting development. If there is a land development restriction issue to overcome they would be in a position to accomplish the re-zoning, but, the very favorable terms still don't make a lot of sense as an investment on their part without additional something, probably more than pure speculation.

Umibe5690,

Now I am sure that you also know that the British government knows the Chinese better than almost any other foreign government because of their strong trade tis and cultural influence over an extended period of time. Those who do not think that the British government is profoundly aware of the implications of this move I believe are sadly mistaken. This is not a simple small business deal. This is a deal that has profound international geopolitical ramifications. I would not be surprised if somepne is trying to work AZN into the mix. Best wishes.

Thanks for thinking outside the box plus China now with all their purchases are becoming a strong rich, developed country and not leading as if yet but That is their goal.
