I couldn't buy with Scottrade, so I opened an e*trade account and transferred some money over. Trades are cheaper and it's much easier to navigate. I kept the td account for the charts and real time. E*trade has real time, but it only seems to update if you click on something - hit "go" or change screens.

Call them and tell them you cant make a buy online. They will do it at no extra commish. I know for a fact there are shares available there at between .01 and .015

TDA let me buy 100K shares a few days ago...

I have gotten several fills with TDA. Use the GTC feature and set the price around .01. It may take a coupla days and quantities of 10K to 50K, lower quantities more likely to be filled.
