“When I went on a little bit and the topic of cross boarder transactions came up...he said that either the sec or some group was looking into developing a centralized coin as a way for having the versatility of the speed of transactions without all the major fluctuations and swings we are seeing. But it sounded like it was going to be fairly regulated.”
Decentralized crypto currencies were birthed out of the 2008 banking crisis with Bitcoin being the god father of them so for him to state that a centralized coin will somehow now become the solution simply doesn’t jive...at all. Also, to say that a centralized coin will have faster transaction speed without fluctuations or swings in the market makes no sense either as Im not following how a centralized coin equals stability. Also, the crypto market will be a regulated market as crypto currencies are ushering in a new asset class.
“he said that either the sec or some group was looking into developing a centralized coin...”
Not following how the SEC falls into a category with some group who is looking into developing a centralized coin. A centralized coin defeats the whole purpose behind crypto currencies.
“He said when bitcoin spiked like that ... although not everyone expected it ... there was only one way you could expect it to go, and that's down. So I guess my question is IF this is true ... what does this do to all the DECENTRALIZED coins.”
Bitcoin pulling back, or dropping has no bearing on the future of the crypto market. We are in a bear market plain, and simple, and what you are witnessing is what a bear market looks like. Now is the time to buy because bear markets turn into bull markets...every time! Once a bull market starts is when most start shouting how much they’ve been loading but most I would bet only wish they loaded during a bear market.
No offense brother, but trying to break this down felt like I was reading hieroglyphics. IMO, these statements of his seemed very rushed and not thought out and leads me to believe that what he originally said was true....
“He did admit that he was not well versed in all facets of this area.”
