In blinded trials, patients who get statins are no more likely to report feeling muscle aches than patients who get a placebo. Yet, in clinical practice, according to one study, almost a fifth of patients taking statins report side effects, leading many to discontinue the drugs.

BS. It's widely known that statins cause muscle problems, and that patients actually under-report these issues to their doctors. And babies with a certain genetic defect can get autism from vaccines, the carrier fluid contains a form of methyl mercury that breaks down to mercury if it's not excreted fast enough - the same issue that caused my gadolinium poisoning.

Of course the main topic of the article is BS too, that high LDL-C causes CVD - would love to see some enterprising researcher run a study on patients with high(ish) LDL, no statin, while taking V, to see how well V works minus the statin - would be beneficial for statin intolerant people or those who can't risk liver damage like moi. Oh wait, the medical community says there's no such thing as statin intolerance, nuts.
