Yes, I always bought the live plants from Chiliplants. Shipping isn't crazy expensive, and you get a good head start. Very useful for people who don't have greenhouses.
Probably the reason they advise you to keep the Reapers five feet away from other plants is that chiles can cross-pollinate easily.
