Yeah, RDM's system is ok but not in any way game changing like SHMP. One of the biggest things with SHMP will be the Cost to Profit ratio. Starting with the smaller area of real estate needed to produce more product. I have been trying to find more information on what Ralco is paying Texas A&M to license their raceway system. I haven't been able to find anything though, thought it would give a better idea to what SHMP's patent is worth.

It is density and the elimination of periodical complete die off from EMS and other shrimp aquaculture organisms. SHMP stands alone as compared to any known existing RAS system.

All other systems that do not use chemicals and antibiotics are subject to periodical catastrophic crop loss and operate at low density.

It has been the problem since the inception of Shrimp RAS Aquaculture. Every company that has tried in the US, last a few years, then they disappear. SHMP has tried all the systems - all with complete failure or were not viable for commercialization. That is why SHMP paid TRANE to do an audit - because all other known systems are not viable. Otherwise there would be a SHRIMP RAS system near every large city in existence today.
