Very good question, I suggested he should be sent packing 18 months ago.... for what I thought was very good reason at the time. My opinion has not changed just yet. But I must admit I do not know what he may have brought of value to the table. Ponder is the one steering ship, not me. But to me it makes no sense to have an IR person with a negative public history so closely tied to SGSI (Icld) and have him tell folks recently to sell if they don't trust management. WTF is that, coming from the Company IR person???? A bad hair day maybe?
Arrogance? (Par for the course from a Lawyer, but not from what should be a sales person in the IR spot?) Does he know that if we sell, it does not affect his stock price as something huge is coming us peon shareholders can not stop? Like a huge news rally?
I intend to ask that very question next time I get the chance. I suspect, believe that Ponder is the sort that tries hard to keep everyone happy? Good for us longs as far as being shareholders, until you Ponder why Sands is still there, as Ponder is also a big company business manager. I suspect he is too deeply involved in some way to replace. I doubt the IR person is on the street selling AT&T on why he should use SGSI for contract services? But who knows, maybe he is?
I must admit he has changed his tune since them. Maybe Ponder explained something to him? :-)
