Ummm, "one could then look at the receipt and leave/drop it in a box of all other votes.", but, that wouldn't work as you couldn't count, excuse the pun, on everybody to put their receipt in the box so you would never know if the recount reflected the original vote or not.
I would agree with you on that but that is not a "receipt" then it is like a vote backup and at this point I have no problem with that I think its a good idea... I did not see that as what was being asked though... Then again I could be wrong...
