Verified with my broker today that the shares I have in my account will be staying indefinitely unless I wanted to report them as worthless and use it as a tax write-off. Rep verified these shares could be used as a payout from the company or used if the company comes back.
I have E*Trade for this ticker. I would guess all brokers would be the same, but you might want to verify with yours. Could always ask for the paper copy, too, I suppose if they won't hold it.
