You have seven years to claim the loss from the year the stock became worthless but you have to claim it for the year in which it became worthless. Here is a good article that give more info than anybody probably wants to know.

I believe there is a period of time in which the loss must be taken to receive a tax write off, but I could be wrong. Haven’t checked in years.

* Vert Capital doesn't exist, after they scammed millions from handful of OTC tickers they all left for other scams with new scam companies
* No idea who even owns this dirty shell at this point

Why would the decathlon case be a dark cloud? Adverse weather doesn't matter when there's nothing happening on the ground beneath...unless there's a hidden gem to be monetized in this mess. Even if there was, why would this crew consider any responsibilities to SPCL bagholders?

I don't see any evidence to indicate anything other than a silent ending with all players moving on to other things. Would be pleasantly surprised otherwise!

All EYE know is that damn court case has been a dark cloud looming over our tainted ticker for a very long time. Has the boot been taken off our neck is anyone's guess. Maybe something good will come from the dismissal.

I have no idea how these things work but maybe in order to reactivate the shell Decathlon had to pull back and if it was the one at the bid for a while buying everything it might take over the shell.
It would be nice to know but I am not writing it off yet.
