quickly is relative. next summer is too soon. some statin users may only see their doctor once a year, so it would be impossible to expect 100% by summer (or by any time to be honest).

Why not be on V- no scientific reason, but for the fact humans are creatures of habit. Do we have an unprecedented drug here? possibly. will it change human behavior? almost certainly not. if we get 5% (1.5mil) of the statins US market next year, the stock price will be astronomical because of relative growth (currently most analysts see max sales ever at 3billion or so, peaking in 5+ years). remember, we are not replacing statins and therefore will be a statin add on...the real question is how many doctors will prescribe V without statins. that could be our real golden goose.

the market price already has baked in decent sales for vascepa...if we in fact meet the lowball target of 1bil only, we will not see a huge rise in the price of the stock. i tend to agree with you that almost all statin users, diabetics, and simply people over 50 should be on vascepa, but this just isnt a realistic goal, especially short term. im more in the camp of 3 bil sales next year, and stock price jump on BO offers, which we should reject.
