Wasn't there arguments that all ships that were Spanish would go back to Spain whether they were merchant or military...

This highlight seemed to claim the opposite...

Actually it doesn't. It proves private ships are the way to go. Read it again.

Spain has made no claim on the Cape Canaveral shipwrecks, and Spanish ships might have been privately owned, meaning the Spanish government wouldn't necessarily have claims to them.

It wasn't until the Supremes upheld the 4th Circuit ruling in 2001 that Spain (the very next day) said they were going after their treasure galleons.

Now if GME proves the ship is Spanish then Spain might make a claim.

We'll see.

These guys don’t need the The Tinker......

Bell Gold Finder™. Seems awfully risky thinking a concept is gonna lead to riches, but heck what do the sheeple have to lose? Looks like a former diver of Seafarers is better off for leaving.

Divers also recovered six pieces of lead sheathing (material from the bottom of the Margarita’s hull) and a ballast stone. This type of material gives clues about where more cargo may be resting. The silver coin, musket balls and the ballast stone are artifacts that are not influenced by weather conditions and will not move along the seafloor in storms that have happened since the day the margarita was driven into the shallow sand bar where it was broken into pieces.
