I think they want proof mineral oil doesn’t interfere with statin efficacy. But that would require a lipids study with at least a few hundred subjects. There’s a few ways you could design it. Have a group on stabile statin and get all values recorded. Then have them take mineral oil concurrent with statins for 8 weeks and record levels in blood. Then have them stop taking mineral oil for 8 weeks and record again. Did they absorb more statin before and after dosing with mineral oil? And what of their lipid/lipoprotein levels?
