One reason I am hoping for a buyout is that at least it would solidify a value as to what the company is worth (at least to an acquirer.) Keep in mind that all of your assumptions are "perfect world" and for AMRN there are still many uncertainties that have to be dealt with. Also, regardless of what BP may be willing to pay they will want to keep their bid at a level where they can be certain that they will earn a good return for their shareholders. My view of BP is that they are in a position to add value (as Eboomer has stated.) Anyway, it is not in our hands...we are fans of a football team, trying to guess the next set of plays and what the final score will be. The reality is that JT is the coach and he calls the shots...we either trust in his leadership or we leave.
I’m sure BP is wearing the same rose colored glasses as you, and would gladly pony up the numbers you’re throwing out cause who needs to consider RISK in their forecast model lol.
