I get your point, but the proportions won't be that different.

Probably around 300 CV Deaths, and maybe 150 other deaths.

If 100 of those are cancer, and it's 60/40, then p on just that = .0426

But the point is that being able to label a meaningful reduction in overall risk of death would be an extra big deal.
