But if they are new patents, why has the portfolio depreciated by almost $200k since Sept. 2016, during the co-development period with Eontec?

Actually, I just looked at the Sept. 2015 10-Q, and the patent portfolio was worth $595k at that time. It seems to me that there aren't enough new patents coming into the portfolio to maintain the value while the older patents expire and/or depreciate.
