for all your posts about the taxes incurred when we sell our AMRN shares.
I have 128,000 shares spread out among 1 taxable and 3 IRA accounts.
You have convinced me that I need to consult a tax adviser before I sell the AMRN shares at least in my taxable account.
I also have AMRN shares in 3 IRA accounts,
of which I can sell without any immediate tax (like the 3.8% NIIT tax) and will only be taxed as income the years...
Short and sweet; I had a dollar before I heard of AMRN and had a tax guy and a financial manager and a plan in place for the next 60 years (longer than I will live) starting in 1980. I took it up a notch in 2000 facing an unfortunate early retirement. Sometimes things work out. I retired in 2013. If I'd won the lottery a coupla weeks ago or AMRN does twice as good as we hope, nothing would have/will change for me except the numbers. And if I had never heard of AMRN and something bad like Parkinsons had struck the family, the plan would have already been in place and of what help it could be and everything would have been fine. If ya got it, take care of it and figure out how to keep it and make it last long enough... you can afford it now.
