another thing puzzling me is this: we only have 8 or 9 million share float. so if Baker Brothers, for example, purchases large quantities of this small float for long term investing - doesn't this make the float even smaller for day to day trading? or am i not understanding something correctly. put another way, once the float is bought up for long term investing won't the share price "freeze" due to fact there are basically no shares left to trade?
