Not lately but they sure did when NUGT fell to 10.56. The apprehension is clear it could happen again but hopefully not. The good old days when gold would run and the buck would be opposite are not playing as of late. You are right when the buck would run like today gold would have been on the "lead balloon ride" but hence it wasn't. We have to hope that IF the buck does a dive that gold will in fact catapult much higher with the cause effect of GDX and NUGT following. Like I said though manipulated markets are tough to run in. With no typical rules as it should be who the heck knows what will transcend.
