Note he never lifted up the jacket to show the impact zone.

Uh, note that he did. Look at 1:50 in to the vid.

i really didn’t want to bother with that video...but since it was brought up...i consider it nothing more than a joke...

when was the last time you saw any serious company involved in protective clothing make a video where one of the head guys shoots himself??...

that isn’t a serious demonstration...its pure stupidity...no one shoots themselves...it’s a stunt...

real companies with real products don’t use stunts...it’s amateurish...

and he quickly lifted up his coat and revealed absolutely nothing...except a bruise...

and his performance at getting shot with a blank was not exactly oscar worthy..

It’s a legit product made from Kevlar...Rayo understood the point. Not posted for competition awareness

“I’m pretty sure he had something hard beneath the coat that caused the bullet to bounce like it did.”

well bullets don’t bounce off of kevlar...but if you are talking about that mettalic sound of something hitting concrete, it sounded like the shell casing to me...

if i wanted to prove that my vest worked and i went to the trouble of shooting myself to do it, i’d be sure to do it in a well lit environment instead of a semi dark shadowy room..

and afterwards, i would make sure that the bullet hole in the jacket was clearly visible, as well as where it struck the vest, instead of pretending i’m showing something when i know it obviously cannot be seen...

not to mention the fact that the impact didn’t budge him even in the slightest...he didn’t even take half a step back..he never really moved at all from the impact...which is highly unlikely...

never mind about the supposed dissipation of the impact...it would seem to me that if the impact was spread to the entire upper body, it would be even more likely that the impact would at the very least, knock him back a step...

everyone saw the muzzle flash of the gunshot...from the close range, the clothing would have briefly caught fire or would have been badly singed...but i saw no evidence of that...nor did i see any smoke...not even a wisp of smoke...not from the gun or clothing...
