11, I have always done corn your way. But eggs - I do SH's way. As soon as the water comes to a boil, remove it from the heat. Eggs are done in 17 minutes; I imagine corn might be a tad less.
Prem, you're welcome. I take it off heat as soon as comes to the boil. I don't seem to notice any difference in the texture after that no matter how long it stands in the hot water. The trick is to take it off heat immediately and the corn reatains its crunch. It's virtually foolproof. SH
